1Inscription in Alice Wynne's 1865 Album
The handwriting is probably Sarah Pointer's. If I
am right about the writing on the back of the CDV
of "Papa" and the photo of Hugh Starks being that
of Alice Wynne, then this just about has to be
Sarah's.

This page is from Cornell University's online
publication of the Official Records.

3Newspaper Account of Lt. Pointer
I found it inside the cabinet photo of Marcellus
Pointer taken Feb 1860. That leads me to believe
that the picture was of Marcellus. The engagement
at Maryville took place about 14 Nov 1863 against
the 11th KY Cav, Wheeler and his staff having gone
out with Dibrell's regiment.

6Reverse of the "Papa" CDV which I believe is of Joel E. Wynne.
H.A. Balch is on the 1870 Prairie Co AR census, and
that's close to Forrest City. Balch was in Hot
Springs AR in 1880. Before 1870 he seems to have
been in Memphis for a while. I found him in 1860 in
Sumner Co TN as a lodger.
Wynne Joel Echols, I
